Our Mission
Sword & Shield Men’s Ministry exists to equip men to fight the good fight of faith. In a world where isolation, temptation, and silent struggles are common, we believe no man should walk alone. Our mission is to help churches build strong, Christ-centered men’s groups where brothers stand shoulder to shoulder sharpening one another, holding each other accountable, and growing together in their daily walk with God.

Like a sword that defends and a shield that protects, we encourage men to confront their own sin nature with courage, pursue holiness with discipline, and lead their homes, churches, and communities with integrity. Sword & Shield is a brotherhood of encouragement, accountability, and spiritual growth forging men who are steadfast in faith and bold in Christ.
Clayton has been involved in ministry for over 39 years.
He has served in many capacities including, Deacon,
Life Group leader, Senior Pastor, and Men’s ministry
leader. He served four churches in Cobb County
Ga as senior pastor for over 25 years.
Most recently, he has focused his efforts on establishing
Men’s Discipleship Groups. In the later part of 2025 God
called him to begin helping small to medium size churches
develop men’s discipleship groups in their local congregations.
Presently, he leads Men’s Discipleship conferences in local
churches to help them develop and implement men’s groups.
He is passionate about seeing men have a place where they can
grow spiritually, encourage others and be encouraged by other men,
and be accountable to the group and to the Lord. He wants to see
men become true disciples of Christ who make disciples.
